42CDKX – DARK KIWI - 42% Light Transmittance “New Lens”

 This is a fantastic mid-light to Full-Sun DARK KIWI with a CMX3 filter, leveraging the success of our 53CIK and 92CIL. The 42CDKX filter is made by blending our new CMX3 Max Orange into the 53CIK, creating a nice bump in the target registration and definition.

 The 42 DARK KIWI lens uses one of our most successful low light and medium light filters, the 92CIL and 53CIK, as a base for the filtration curve. We have enhanced the color profile of this lens by modifying the filter for a Mid Light to Full Sun application. The lens introduces superior target registration when light is brighter but not as bright as sunshine yellow light. This is a filter for brighter white light with cloud cover, but the type of cloud cover where the sky is bright with a white or grey ceiling.

 This lens was formulated specifically for conditions where the target becomes tough to see because the light values of the hue of the lens are diminished, and the ambient lighting condition is roughly the same. This situation in flat, white, or grey light confuses the eye into seeing almost a “white out” of the target, making it tough to lock onto its flight, distance, and trajectory. The 42CDKX filter corrects this tough presentation issue by blending CMX3 to lift orange. This lens is also a rock star filter for lime green targets in brighter conditions while doing a super job with orange targets.

 The DARK KIWI lens uses our most successful ICE AR coatings, which provide a super glare reducer. Our proprietary 7-layer anti-reflective is applied to reduce light dispersion to near zero.
